Manage Program Referrals

Some school programs, like Gifted and Talented (GATE) for example, require an accepted referral to enter a student into the program. Mileposts' Program module is configurable to manage program referrals, with related details and outcome. A Detail Tracking program with referrals turned on can be configured with district-defined referral codes and outcome codes. 

Manage Program Referrals

  1. Login to Mileposts

  2. Click RTI

  3. Click Programs

  1. Click Manage Referrals

This option only exist if the administration has indicated that the Program requires Referrals

The following page is a table displaying Referrals for the selected Program. The table can be filtered for faster and easier searches.

  1. Filters

    1. Display

Defaults to Open Referrals but the following options are available

      1. All Referrals

      2. Open Referrals

      3. Closed Referrals

    1. School Year

Select a School Year from the dropdown menu

    1. Search Table

Type at least three letters and click the arrow 

Add Program Referrals

  1. Click Add Program Referral 

  1. General Tab

    1. School

Select a School from the dropdown menu

    1. Student

Select a Student that you have scope to from the dropdown menu

  1. Program

This is automatically entered (no additional input required)

    1. Referral Grade

Enter the Grade of the student at the time of the Referral

    1. School Year

Select a School Year from the dropdown menu

    1. Referred On

Se;ect a date from the calendar icon 

    1. Referred By

Enter the name of the person that Referred the student to the Program

  1. Referral Detail Tab

    1. Referral Code

Select a code from the dropdown menu

    1. Textbox for detailed information about the Referral

  1. Outcome Tab

    1. Referral Is

    2. Outcome Code

    3. Outcome On

    4. Textbox for detailed information about the outcome

  1. Audit Tab

    1. Created On

    2. Created By

    3. Modified On

    4. Modified By

  1. Click Save

View Program Referrals

  1. Click the View Magnifying Glass 

Displays a detailed summary of the Referral for the selected Program that can be Printed if needed

Edit Program Referrals

  1. Click the Edit Pencil

  1. General Tab

    1. School

Select a School from the dropdown menu

    1. Student

Select a Student that you have scope to from the dropdown menu

  1. Program

This is automatically entered (no additional input required)

    1. Referral Grade

Enter the Grade of the student at the time of the Referral

    1. School Year

Select a School Year from the dropdown menu

    1. Referred On

Delete Program Referrals

  1. Click the Delete Trash Can Icon
