Defining Your Organization
Log in to Teacher Vitae
Hover over “More”
Click “Admin”
Hover over Admin+
Click Organization
Click Manage Organization Units
If you have Organizational units you will see them listed here.
To add additional Organizational Units, click + Add Organizational Units
Fill in all of the fields on the General Info tab. The Public Key field is used during the "Import Users" step to match employees to departments. This field should be a unique identifier for your school or department. Districts will quite often use their state school number as the Public Key. This field corresponds to the Department field in your import users file.
Click "Save Changes" button. Generally speaking the organizational structure in Teacher Vitae should closely match the organizational structure in your HR system.
