Creating a Progress Monitor for an Individual Student

Setting up a Progress Monitor allows teachers the ability to quickly create a graph to monitor a student's progress throughout an intervention.

This adaptive tool can graph progress for behavior, attendance, weekly quiz scores, and many other purposes. The quick and easy set up makes it simple for any teacher to utilize.

To Create a Progress Monitor:

1. Click the Student Search button from the homepage.

2. Enter the student’s name in the Search Table. (or the first few letters and then press the arrow to search)

3. Select Student’s Name to go to their Student E-file.

4. Select Educational Support tab.

5. Click the current School Year.

6. Scroll down to Progress Monitors and Click Add Progress Monitor

7. Enter the Progress Monitor Name, Start Date, End Date, Testing Interval. Choose Probe    Assessment from the dropdown menu. Click Next in the top right corner.

Use the dropdown menu to Add Probe Measures. Add Initial Scores. Add Goals.

NOTE: Choose numeric measures if you want them to be graphed.

Click Next in the top right corner to continue.

Lastly link the Intervention to the Progress Monitor. Don’t worry if you do not have an Intervention written at this time. The system was designed to create each element independently and link together later, if you choose. However, we strongly recommend you document the Intervention you are using to help the student improve learning. This helps create the historical documentation that may be needed further down the road. Click Finish. Congratulations! You have successfully created a Progress Monitor
