Mileposts Plans were designed for students not making progress, even though one or more interventions have been in place.
Typically used for students deemed most ‘at risk’, or not making adequate progress even with interventions in place.
Often a prerequisite to an IEP Referral.
Generally has multiple interventions embedded.
Considered to be the next step up from a simple intervention.

The Interventions and Progress Monitor boxes document interventions and progress monitors tied to this particular plan.
The Progress Notes, Contacts, and Miscellaneous Notes provide a space for this type of note (keep notes factual).
The Close Plan and Enter Final Outcome box are left blank until the date and time the plan is closed (which is often at the end of the school year).
