Automated Assessment Importer (AAI)

How to use the Automated Importer (step by step)

  1. Login to EdHub (Mileposts) and click on the Assessments tab and choose Assessment Dropbox

  1. Click on New Upload

  1. If you save your files in this format; assessment/school year/session, (ReadingTest 2016-17 Spring) step 4 will be much easier as all the information you need to complete step 4 can be found in the file name.

  2. You must give the importer some basic information about your data file.

    1. (Select file) Select a csv data file (only csv files can be imported, NOT EXCEL)

    2. (Importer) Select the corresponding assessment (if you don’t see your assessment in the list please select “Unknown” and we will contact you and get the assessment added to the list)

    3. (School Year) Select the school year in the data file

    4. (Session) Select the session in the data file

    5. (Test Date) Enter the test date if you know it, otherwise you can leave it with today’s date

    6. Under notifications enter your email (optional)

    7. Click Submit File to Load your data (before clicking on Submit PLEASE review your selections, make sure you have selected the correct year and session, whatever you select is where your data will be loaded)

  1. You will then be taken back to the Dropbox screen. Here you will see the data file being Validated and eventually the Import Completed under the Status column. Under Details you will find out how the data was handled:

    1. (P) How many records or lines of data were Processed, this should equal the total lines in your data file (minus the header or first line)

    2. (I) How many records of data were Inserted or added to Mileposts

    3. (U) How many records were Updated or modified

    4. (E) How many Errors occurred during the import, number of records NOT added to Mileposts

    5. (W) Warnings

  1. To find out more about the import and what errors you had click on View under Actions. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Beside Import Details Click on Show. Here you can find out what errors you had such as Student not found-Invalid ID or No Test Date, etc. If you make corrections you will need to re-submit the file
