8_Rolling a Package to the new Year

If a Package worked well and suited the needs of the staff and district, that package can be rolled over to the next year. This saves time by not recreating a new Package every year. 

Prerequisites

  • Know what Packages will be rolled over

  • Update Evaluation Year

  • Update Forms

  • Update Course Session


The first thing that must be done before rolling Packages to the new Evaluation Year is to update the current Evaluation Year. This updates the current Evaluation Year in all areas in Teacher Vitae and makes it possible to add a new year of Packages. The new Evaluation Year is now default and there will be no Packages for this new Evaluation Year.

The second thing that needs to be completed before rolling Packages is to determine if any of the Forms used in the Packages need to be updated.

Finally update all Professional Development Sessions used in the Packages to the current Evaluation Year’s dates and times.

Roll Package

Copy Package is a quick way to clone a package from one year to the next. It will copy the document requirements and advance the "Due Date" to the same date in the specified new Evaluation Year.

The Copy will be set as "Not Active" to allow for verification and modifications before making it available for use.


  1. Log into Teacher Vitae

  2. Hover over More

  3. Click on Admin

  1. Hover over Admin +

  2. Click Packages

  1. Select Previous Evaluation Year

  1. Click Copy

  1. Name

Name the Package

  1. Evaluation Year

Select Evaluation Year from the dropdown

  1. Click Save Changes

  1. Select the new Evaluation Year

  2. The package has been rolled to the new Evaluation Year
