Closing Individualized Learning Plans

Closing Individualized Learning Plans

All Mileposts/Individualized Learning Plans need to be closed out with an Outcome and a Recommendation.  This step should take place after all interventions and progress monitors have been closed within the plan.  The outcome measures are found when closing the interventions and progress monitors that are part of the plan.  So as you close out the educational support in the plan the individual analysis of the interventions and progress monitors will be the basis for the outcome tab of the plan itself.  Then the closing of the plan is just a recommendation for the future of the plan after reviewing the process through educational support.  You do have the ability to add some narrative regarding closing the plan but this is not necessary as most of the outcome measure reflection has taken place through closing the individual interventions and progress monitors.

Closing the Plan

Enter the student e-file of the student containing the plan to close.

Click on the student search link in the upper right hand corner. Enter the student name in the search field and then click the small arrow to search.

Click on the student name to enter their e-file.

Click on the Educational Support tab within the e-file.  Find the plan you want to close and enter the plan by clicking on the School Year (or Plan Name for some plans).

Once in the plan, scroll down to the Close Plan and Enter Final Outcome section and click on Close Plan.

Enter the Plan Outcome, Recommendation, End Date and any notes in the Narrative section.  Click Save when completed.

NOTE:  only the creator of the plan can close the plan.  You will have the opportunity to modify or remove the outcome if either of these rare occasions occur.
