Why Use Edify

“Why” use Edify:  Edify is a standard based assessment tool. It allows educators to create standard based assessments and gives data reports to help drive instruction. Accurate data helps close the gaps for all students. Instructors can make decisions on curriculum and instruction based on data. This will help with collaboration in PLC's and as an entire school to make the best instructional decisions for students.

  •  Edify gives real time data: Students take the assessments online. It is good practice for online assessments and learning to navigate. The assessments are scored and give immediate data. Real time data equals less error. The reports give standard based data on who may need interventions, extensions, review lessons, and more assessments for mastery.

  •  All assessments in Edify are standard based and must be tied to a standard. Edify gives another measure of stand mastery for Standard based instruction and grading.  Having a Curriculum Map helps to explain what standards will be focused on during the trimester and what standards to build your assessments around.  Example of a curriculum map will be included in our solutions section under standards.

  •  Data driven instruction is based on data from the standard based assessments reports in Edify. Decisions on what to teach or not to teach will be based on this data. Edify assessments provide real time data to move on or re-teach skills.
