Create Notes and Attachments

Add general notes and attachments to a student or a group of students' eFile information, using General Note Creator.

Only General Notes & Attachments can be added in the General Notes Creator. Plan notes must be added within a Plan. Once added, the plan notes will appear, hyperlinked, in the Notes & Attachments window of the eFile.

To add notes to a student in a class list:

  1. From the Homepage, click on Students.

  1. Select General Note Creator.

  1. Select which Class List you want to use from the dropdown menu.

  2. Find the Student you want to add a Note to, and go to the Notes Column.

  1. Type your note in the Notes column next to the student you are making the Note for.   (Notes are saved automatically, however, it is good practice to Save after you are finished.) If the page is refreshed or the class is changed, previous notes are never displayed.

  2. Click Save in the upper right corner. (“All notes have been saved.” should appear under the Save button)

  3. To add Attachments, select the link of the student’s name. This will bring you to the student eFile.

  1. Select Notes and Attachments.

  1. Click on the Add Note/Attachment(s) link.

            

  1. Make sure you click on the Attachments Tab and then Select Files for Upload. Once you have uploaded the attachment…

  2. Click on the Save button in the upper right corner.

  1. Once you’ve uploaded the attachment, you can view, edit or delete the note by using one of the 3 icons below.

  1. When you select View (the magnifying glass), you will be brought to the note where you can select Download or View. You can also Print from this page.

  1. When you select Edit (the pencil button), you will see a page that looks like this:

You can add Team Members to the Note, you can Edit the Note and you can Edit the Attachments from here as well as Audit. To add a Team Member, follow the steps above.

To add notes to a student from their eFile:

  1. From the Homepage, Click on Students.

  2. Next, Click on Student eFile.

From here you can follow the instructions above.


To add notes from a single student search:

  1. From the Homepage, Click on Student Search.

  1. Use the search Table and Enter Student’s Name. (usually 3 characters will be enough to start a search, more may be required for common names).Click on the Arrow.

  1. Once you see the student you are searching for, Click the Link on their last name.

  1. This will take you to the Student’s eFile page. From here you can Click on Notes and Attachments. 

From here you can follow the same instructions as above.
