Introduction to Progress Monitoring

Progress Monitor

Frequent and regular progress monitoring is a critical component when placing students in strategic interventions to measure a student's progress toward their goal.

The Progress Monitor feature in Mileposts was built for ease of use and quick access by classroom teachers, and can be linked together with specific intervention strategies documented in Mileposts. The tool is general enough in nature and easy for all teachers to graph multiple purposes for students, such as: academic skills, behavior or social/emotional issues, attendance, homework, grades, etc.

Once a Progress Monitor is set up, access to all your Progress Monitors is available from the Home Page. Simply click on the RTI menu option - then click on Progress Monitors for your individual Progress Monitors or Progress Monitor Groups for your group Progress monitors. This will open up your caseload, making accessing and adding data just a click away via the 'Select Action' drop down menu.

Whether you use these graphs for your classroom, RTI meetings, or parent/student conferences - "A picture is worth a thousand words!"
