Mileposts Plan Types

Multiple Student Plan Types in Mileposts Support Varying Student Needs

Plans like IEP and 504 are commonly recognized educational plan types, which are set up for students with a learning disability or other diagnosed disability which impacts their learning.

Today's education space requires, and/or encourages, many others.  Silverback's Mileposts makes it easy for districts to name and define a variety of plans to fit the unique needs of their own district, such as:

  • ELP (English Language Learners)
  • RtI or 'At Risk'
  • Behavior
  • Personalized Learning
  • Graduation
  • Student Portfolio
  • And many more.

The Mileposts Team recognized that all districts may not have, nor want, the exact same plans as other districts.  With that thought in mind, Mileposts was designed with a few common plans set up and ready to go at the start.  However, each district has the ability to build additional plans (or customize the ones already in place) to better meet the unique needs of the district using a variety of building blocks.

Thoughtfully written plans (with intentional interventions, targeted content, and specific goals) support the student to achieve their unique learning needs.  With a supporting team of teachers, administrators, and parents, the student  is on the road to reach his/her learning potential.

Plans of all types are stored from year to year, creating a historical record of all the supports in place for each student over the years the student has been in the district.
