How to Add/Edit a Question in an Assessment Already Created
Notes:
* If the assessment has not been assigned, you can make any changes under Edit. If it is a constructed response you can type or copy the question in-we have a solution on how to grade them.
* If it has been assigned you can make a copy and make changes to the copy before it is assigned.
If you have a passage ID that you would like to add/remove questions to the specific passage already created here are the steps for that:
1. Go into the assessment you have created and you will make the edits through the Assessment Details
2. Click Edit
3. To add a question item click on the green icon: add existing item
4. For the new question item: Fill in subject, standard set, measurable standard, then select SEARCH (green box)
5. To see which item you want to add to the assessment sort by passage ID------Find the passage id you are working on and there will be all questions associated with that specific passage
6. Click on the ones you want to add by clicking in the box to the left of the item number
7. When finished scroll to the bottom of this page and select the green box Add to assessment. A message will pop up and let you know they have been added.
8. When you are finished adding items click on the green box Return to Assessment.
9. Check the assessment to confirm the desired items were added, then select SAVE and then if you are ready you would assign the assessment.
If you have created a question that you would like to add to a passage in the bank:
In the Assessment Details page, click on the blue Edit link. Then make changes to the question. Note the Item ID number, when finished you will select SAVE to save the editing changes.
If you want to add this question to the item bank you will need to do that through the Alignments tab:
After clicking Edit, you will be directed to the Item Metadata section, click on the Alignments tab. alignments metadata section. Passage ID Add or Create is there. If you need to add the existing passage to the question, you will need to search for it and add to the item.
Once Add is clicked, passage search page will be open where they can search for the passage and select then add to item.
