Edit a Passage

Editing a Passage in Edify Assess, including adding and editing images

Accessing and Editing a Passage


  1. Login to Edify Assess

  2. Launch Author Content

  1. Click Assessments

  2. Click Search Assessments

  1. Find the Assessment that needs to be edited

  2. Click the Assessment ID number to enter the assessment

  1. Find the Passage that needs to be edited

  2. Under the Passage Metadata find Item Metadata

  3. Click Edit

  1. In Item Details 

  2. Click Alignment 

  3. Click Passage ID Number

  1. Click the Pencil icon to edit the Passage

  1. This opens the Rich Text box that can edit the Passage including adding or subtracting Images 

NOTE the tool bar with advanced tools (text, image, tables, functions etc).

Adding Images

Adding images from your computer

  1. Click Image icon in Advanced Toolbar

  1. Click Upload

  2. Click Choose File 

  3. Click Send to Server (this places the image on a Edify Assess server to insure quick and correct access)

  4. Click OK

NOTE: if the image is too small or large adjust the size

  1. Right Click the Image

  2. Click Image Properties

  1. Adjust height and width (NOTE: image quality is usually better if you lock the height and width so the change based on each other). 

  2. Click OK

Finishing Up

  1. Click Save

  2. Click Publish
