Creating an "Author Content or Manual Create Assessment" in edifyAssess
Author Content or Manual Create (Opens a separate tab)
Log into edifyAssess
Select one of your classes.
Click on the Author Content drop down from the main toolbar
Author Content > Edify Author - Select one of the 4 options
Import Content
Create New Passage
Create New Item: items can be saved and added to a test
Create New Assessment: (Items are created to a specific test (EOC)
Manual Create- takes you to create an assessment; items are specific to the assessment
Select Author Content in the blue bar
Select Create New Item: 3 options
Selected Response: Multiple choice
Constructed Response Writing response (rubrics)
Technology Enhanced: multiple options
Drag & Drop
Fill in the Blank
Selected Response
Multiple Choice
True False
Short Answer
Essay
Highlight text
Select: Subject, Standard, Item Bank, Measurable Standard (Lookup)
Create Item (Save – Preview – Cancel)
Click on the icon in green, upper right corner
Select “Approved from the dropdown
Add -- Characteristics> Alignment>Statistics
Publish (write the item number down)
